RULES AND REGULATIONS:
STEP ONE: THE VIDEO
Make a video no longer than 2 minutes stating:
your name
where you are from
what you do creatively (photographer, voice actor, graphic designer, etc.)
the one thing that you need the most help with when it comes to marketing your creative freelance business
and the one thing that you love about what you do as a creative person - your WHY.
TYPES OF VIDEOS THAT HAVE WON IN THE PAST:
whole-hearted, daring, creative people who are driven, have grit, and are passionate about learning how to take their creative businesses forward
people who overcame their fear of being filmed and did a little dance, sang a little song, or used a cool filter to make their scholarship entry video stand out from the crowd
creatives who used their failures as lessons learned to fuel the fire under themselves to go for their dreams
TYPES OF VIDEOS THAT TURN US OFF:
"I just got divorced, my wife is a b*****, if you don't give me this scholarship then it's your fault I'm not successful."
Yes. that is a direct quote from an entry that did not win a scholarship, who got kicked off of my mailing list, and blocked from my social media. Guilting someone into doing something for you works on The Real Housewives reality TV show, but not for me. NEXT!
STEP TWO: SHARE YOUR VIDEO
Upload your video to all of your social media channels. COPY the text below and PASTE it into the status update EVERY TIME you post your video on social media. YOU MUST COPY AND PASTE THE TEXT BELOW IN EVERY STATUS UPDATE WITH YOUR VIDEO UPLOAD OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED:

Share your video on your Facebook page, with friends in an email, in your fav Facebook groups, with LinkedIn contacts, share your video anywhere and everywhere you are online. You will not win a scholarship for the most shares but it won't hurt to upload your video with the text above multiple times on multiple platforms ;-)
